5R100 into 7.3 truck?

Hi guys, over here in australia there is stuff all in the way of knowledge on these trucks, and after Ford trying to sting me near $700 bucks for a CPS, everythings bloody overpriced too.
I have a mate that has a 5R100 from a 06 F250 with the following part numbers
RF-6C3P-7006-BA 06 on body of box
RF-3C3P-7A040-HE tail casing

I have my transfer case from the 4R100....

I just ask, will the conversion be possible, and what else would I need if so?

I just thought for the money he is asking, its probably not a bad thing to leave under the bench till I need it.

I don't KNOW if it will bolt up to the transfer case. The motor is OK. Better if you can find the transfer case for the tranny, but that is more $$$. Good Luck.

If you are asking if you can mate the 5r110 to a 7.3, then NO not realistically. Sure anything is possible, but the simple answer is no.

Even IF you manage to get it to bolt to the motor, getting a computer to control it is a whole nother gigantic and expensive problem. Your money would be better spent building up that 4R100.

BTW, the Torqshift is called the 5r110, not 5r100
