The Green pump handle is very common for diesel pumps, but by no means is it a guarantee of diesel fuel. Around here there are Diamond Shamrock stations that have all there pumps with green handles, and black on the diesel, and there's a Valero with with yellow for the diesel pump. DON'T ever judge by the color alone, or you might end up haveing your tank siphoned to get the gasoline out of it (if you catch your mistake) or end up with major engine problems if you drive with it.

Around here if there is not a sticker stating ULSD 15PPM then it is usually LSD 500PPM, but I'm sure that can and will vary throughout the country.

keanoknick speaks wise words. BP pumps are ALL green, and there are some citgos around here with black pumps on the diesel.

BTW, owners manual says engine is designed for 500 or ULSD, so the debate is over..........now the search begins.

Most if not all pumps should be 15 PPM by now. The emissions for the 07s and especially the 08s are designed for ULSD. Keith

when i wuz in Kentucky the pumps at some places were yellow 4 diesel fuel !!!

The '07 Ford trucks are really '06 trucks with an '07 sticker. Look on the door label and it should say '06. That's how Ford got away with selling '07 trucks while the new emission stuff was in the works. If you have a regular cat and no DPF on the exhaust, then your truck was made for 500ppm and there is no reason you shouldn't be using 555ppm.
