In a van down by the river...
The amarillo was first available in 05...... dont know how much help that is to you.

Yep--I remember seeing one at the Ford dealer in Bowman, ND in June of '05 when Maggie and I were coming down here to look at houses. It definitely stood out from the rest of the vehicles, given that it was the only truck on the lot with that bright of a paint scheme.

ESOF was an option on all trim levels. Who ever ordered the truck probably speced it out like that.

I knew before I ever even looked at getting my 05 that it would have manual tcase shifter...that was very much one of the requirements. As mentioned before, less to go wrong and cause problems, but I KNOW that the front end is engaged when I pull the shifter.

The badge on the bed is just a decal. It was most likely either removed by the PO or could have even been a factory delete for that matter. I've never looked inside an Amarillo, so I don't know if there were any interior oprions.

However, the Amarillo package was a factory option...not a dealer job. It could be done though, but not likely. Look at it this way, if the truck was not repainted, it HAS to be an Amarillo because that is the only way Ford offered that color on a SD.

Yea well the "amarillo" editions i see come with silver gauges, armrest badge, bed decal, and seat stitching. All of which my truck didnt come with...guess it was a factory delete or something.

Thanks for that info. I know the dealers around here put "dealer only" packages on quite a few different models.

Your truck was probly ordered in that color. Mine is an XLT with manual hubs and transfer case and sold me on the truck as I plane to have it for at least 10 years and it is less to go wrong. Besides if it is going to snow I just leave the hubs locked and the case is still shift on the fly.
