was turning around in the driveway and by doing so i had to back into the pasture well we had some pretty heavy rain last week and wouldnt you know it i started spinning.

so i hopped out turned the hubs put her in neutral and clicked her to 4-lo
got turned around put her back in neutral popped her back in to 2-hi turned the hubs back....but still stayed in 4-lo...and wouldnt come out!!

after a few minutes of aggravatingly fooling with it i said to heck with it and just pulled out on the road and drove, then stopped and repeated the process.

that didnt work and then outta no where she put herself back in 2-hi...

what gives???:dunno

Mines always gone into 4lo hard and takes along time to return to 2high. I've given up trying before and shut it off. When I came back later and started it up it was in 2high. Must get bound up and just needs to relax.

I have a manual shift transfer case and it can be a B to shift back to 2H from 4L. I have to really push/pull/kick the lever to get it to go.

My 7.3 will sometimes not go into 4hi or 4lo... but thats only if I had used it just a minute ago and tried to go back into it.
