I did my spring swap in four and a half hours with the help from a fellow F-350 owner. He is a good mechanic and we finished up without any extra nuts or bolts. Only one pinched finger (his). Now I have X code springs and they level out to truck much better than the Pro Comp springs that I replaced. The Por Comps sagged after 3 years, especially the driver's side.

It seems to be better riding, and not as harsh. The Pro Comps were 5 leaf springs and the Ford springs are 2 leaf. I just came back from a drive and I can not really say which is better, just different.

What was your reason for the swap?

I have an Excursion that has a lot of sway while towing my trailer and some have said the springs are the problem.

No it sits almost level. The Pro Comp springs did the exact same thing, as far as ride height goes, only they sagged.
