also...what HP rating is it? it might not have the highest possible factory rating, and a cat dealer could fix that for you by reflashing the ecm.

3126 Cat

It is the 3126B motor. To my thoughts from research on the internet that the C7 is just the classification of that size "Acert" motor by Cat. It is stated by Ford to have 190@2500 hp and 520@1440 ft lbs with the 4 speed auto and hydraulic brakes. Is there a difference between the 3126B and a C7?

In a dump truck that I used to drive the 3126 made 300 hp, but if it was in a emergency vehicle it made 325 hp. If I remember right turbo size and programing makes the difference. My truck now has a 450 hp mercedes that makes that motor look sick.

3126b and the c7 are different. very similar, but definatly different.

as for re-rating goes, if you say yours is at 190, the highest cat will let you go is 210hp/605tq.

the c7 is available in ratings from 190-350, but to get 230+ for your engine they require different pistons, turbo, injectors, and a viscous damper.

i would definatly go for the 210. its only 40 hp, but its 80ft/lbs more, and im assuming that at 190 the truck is a slug.
