Driving back from up north to down here Saturday, noticed a puddle of green under the front as I stopped at a rest area. Coolant bypass filter line from the filter back to degasser sprung a pinhole leak; this got bigger over the next few hundred miles. So I stopped at a Blaine's Farm and Fleet in Janesville WI. The only 3/8 lines they had were fuel (box was empty) and something called "anti-smog line" whatever that is, which I used.
The old 3/8 line was fuel line according to the stamp and it was absolutely fried and brittle. Bought it in kit form, can't recall who but it was one of our old sponsors. According to what I've read, I'm lucky to have got so many miles out of that hose.
Anybody know what "anti-smog" hose is? I got a new section of silicone coolant hose from McMaster-Carr today, so I don't really care but am sure curious! True coolant hose, in 3/8 id, seems rare as hens' teeth.
