Hey guys,

If all goes as planned, I'll be picking up my new 2020 F-450 this week. While I was test driving an XL they had in stock, I figured some folks might like to know the RPM's the new transmission pulls at various speeds.

10th gear. Then at the end I manually shifted down while maintaining a steady 74mph.

Thanks for the post. I'm a little concerned about the speed/rpm ratio. I have a 2011 6.7 4wd super cab. My speed/rpm are 50/1150, 55/1250, 60/1400. I waited for the 2020 10 speed to order hoping the 10 speed trans would improve mileage. Your tests are much higher speed/rpm ratios. I'm thinking/hoping the F450 has axle ratios that increase the rpm due to load capacities. Do you know what the axles are?

The 450’s have a much lower 4.30 ring and pinion.
That's what I was curious about. 10th gear doesn't mean much if we don't know what the rear end has for gears.

That's actually better than I thought it would be price wise.
