:)Thanks for the info. about to pull the trigger on dpf delete dn pipes back with module from H&S or SCT, however it looks like I might do almost as well with a tuner. I also plan on using CNG or Propane. Had not gave much thought to intake. have a 08 2500 diesel, 4x4,factory 18" wheels and tires, 3.55 rear end, AT, LG cab short box. First 4000 miles 11.2 mpg, now 12.9 to 13.1. really enjoy the truck, had a 240 benz, 85 chev 1/2 diesel (blew the engine on both, later had a 2500 chev conv. van with the bigger diesel, loved the van.

If it makes you feel better this is the second (2) engine in my 2008 f250

You have a dodge or a gm? or did you just put an extra zero on your 08?

I have an 08 SD with 23,000 miles and it stays around 14.5-15.7 doing 80mph, And it was around 12-13 new, Everything is still stock and my truck is a 4x2 if that makes any difference and the bed is nomaly full of dirt bikes and gear. So i guess i got a small incress around 20,000 mile.....:dunno

Another update.

I made a 3600 mile trip to California with a 1000 pound load. I got about 15.3 mpg with the load throughout the first half of the trip. I drove about 63 mph the whole way.

On the way back (empty) I got 17.5 mpg. Driving the same speed.

On a 400 mile leg in west Texas (from El Paso to somewhere west of Kerrville, I drove 80 the whole and got 8.4 mpg.

Driving fast cost me a lot of fuel! Double!!

Needless to say, I drove 63 the rest of the way.

I have the dually F 350, auto, 4.10 LSD, RWD. Diesel engine.
