I read in my Diesel Power magazine about a test they were doing on an 08 Superduty. They drive this thing 150,000 miles through 49 states and 7 canadian provinces. The link is below to show the video of the adventure. I think this says alot. I am just glad I didn;t have that diesel bill. :deal :cussing:

Ford Vehicles: 2008 Super Duty - Bold Endures

great video!!!!

I just went and looked at the new Super Duties today while the service department was looking at mine and they look 10x better in person!! They even had one of the new F440s (just like the one in the video) but didnt have a price on it. Looked amazing!

Its great that there doing the test, but there are alot of these trucks running around with alot more miles. My 04 is over 200k and I've seen 7.3's that have restarted the odmeter [goes back to 000000 at 400k] with no major problems. For what they are asking for these trucks, they should go 300k. Its cool, but I think they should run the thing a few years and see where its at. Saying your heavy duty diesel went 150k is like saying you can bench press 200 lbs. Who really cares? :stir

Sure, they only went 150K. But, they did it in 131 days. and all pulling 12 - 18k. I don't know anybody drives like that.

Shoot, if they just did that for a whole year, they'd be up around 420k. That'd be neat.

I would like to know what there MPG's were for that trip and how many tires they went though on truck and trailer. I think he said they were still on the first sat of brake shoes. I would love to have been one of the drivers on this test.

The OBS PSDs go to 300,000.0 after 399,999.9. I have only 125K to go before the roll over. :thumbs I'd love for mine to restart to 000000.0.
