Not since 2003 at least. I have two and they are on the tie rod ends. No zerks for the U-joints or the rest of the commonly greased joints. :(

i will look again, i remember you telling me that, i did not see any.
but it was about beer thirty when i looked.
I just checked and found the 2 on the front differential u joints. i see none on any tie rod or drag link. also none on the ball joints.
How do we, do we not bother with greasing the slip joint on the rear drive shaft?
i also dont see any fittings on the rear shaft.
thanks

none on the slip joint or anywhere else that im aware of.

ford is the only one that can find ball joints w/OUT grease
fittings...when i replaced mine none of the shop i went
to had or had HEARD of balljoints w/out 'em !

start saving now (900-1200 bucks) or learn to replace
the ball joints yourself (about 250 bucks or so in parts)

i would replace em myself, dodge, at least on mine, did not have fittings fro grease on any tie rods or ball joints either.
are you supposed to grease the slip joints? sometimes? that mean taking it apart to manually do it?

well...i havent done any maint. on the slip joint...doesnt mean
you couldnt improve the longevity...BUT theres a fair amount of
work just to get to it for servicing.

so far so good.

the carrier bearings are pretty robust...but ymmv...go jacking w/ the
angle and you can expect to shorten the life of it (if not done
properly).

i had 150k on my 96 f150 (2wd) and it had the original carrier bearing.

Get this- The E series had plugs in the ball joints and tie rods where a grease fitting would be. I took out the plugs and put in grease zerks. Maybe the F series is the same way. If you see a very small plug on the flat spot of a ball joint or tie rod end, it should be re-moveable for a zerk.
