You could always wait a little longer and get the stretched Expedition that's replacing the X. Maybe by then the F150 diesel will be out and the Expy will have it too (We can only hope so). With the Expy being lighter than the X, a diesel version should get almost 30 mpg highway. This way, you could have your big SUV and an economy vehicle too.

No worries we did not purchase it. The test drive was nice (wind blowing in thru electric sunroof, tires smokin, ext..) but it just wasn't $42,000 worth of nice. There is just something about the rattle of a Diesel that is hard to do without. The Lincoln handles nice but without the Diesel rattle something is missing. The biggest complaint I have about it is the seats, they don't hold you in at all while cornering or braking. Seems like you had to hang on rather than settle in. We still have our eyes on a new camper and a Jetcraft XS so we better just keep away from a new rig.

That has always been my complaint about Lincoln seats. My parents owned a Mark III that was that way.
