ok , it's colder then hell here in Canada , last week my truck started with the no start when it's at operating temp ? no codes , and it's intermittent ? any idea's ?
I went through the same thing and had to deal with a dealership as it was under warranty yet. Took them forever to find the problem but ended up being HPOP. Might be that. I know you need at least 500psi to get it to start

Ok , so pulled 2 codes this morning , po335 crank position sensor , and P2291 low icp ? starts great when it's cold , but when at operating temp , if I shut it off sometimes it will not start for 10 min or so ? just cranks over , I am thinking the crank sensor has more to do with this then the ICP right now ?
ok , just did a check on it , lots of pressure , at icp sensor 654 psi when cold starting , lots of pressure while driving , when it idles good pressure , just shut it off and tried to restart after 5 min only getting 350psi ish at the icp sensor ?
been doing some research here , I am a little confused about HPOP failure symptoms ? can someone give some insight on this ? when the HPOP fails what are the issue's surrounding it ? poor cold start ? not running etc ?
Not being a 6.0L expert or even having too much knowledge of them..... The most common solution to the 7.3 with hot start problems is leaking IPR o-rings, once you get the oil hot enough it flows well enough that it can't build pressure around the leaking o-rings with the relatively slow engine RPM that the starter can provide the mechanical pumping systems. And of course that all depends on the 6.0 having an IPR but given that this was international's mechanism to regulate HP oil on the 7.3 I don't see them changing however the ability to service may have changed. When I had problems the ford dealers would only sell an IPR valve (some told me I needed an HPOP) However the international dealers would sell just the service kit. Granted things have likely changed since I crossed this bridge before this site was around.
The HPOP will give you Hot Start problems. If the pump is worn it will not pump the 500psi required to start the truck. What you described with the 654 psi cold and the 350 psi hot does sound like the HPOP needs rebuilding/replacing. Sounds like a trip to a good diesel shop is in order.
My 05 had that problem, I'd have to find the repair ticket but had something to do with the Orings as stated above, leaked off oil pressure after shutting it off and wouldn't restart, after sitting for a period of time it usually started, just got worst until it died all together. Just my luck I was a couple thousand past warranty and it cost me $1200
