Today I went to Home depot to get some stuff, went inside AC worked fine. Came out, the Electronic Auto climate control was completely dead. Nothing worked, no temp controls, no outside air temp display, nothing. Well, I went home and checked all the fuses, everything was fine. I put the climate control fuse back in, and, boom, everything worked! Anybody have any clue why?

I don't know what causes it, but I have experienced the same thing on 2 different occasions. I just shut the truck down and waited a minute and restarted it and the Climate controls came back to life. I've been meaning to take it in to have it looked at, but just haven't found the time.

Hopefully someone else will have some ideas.

I dunno either, and I've seen it a bunch. Just pull the fuses and the head resets itself... gotta be something in the chips..

If it's still under warranty get the control unit replaced. I had the same thing happen to mine, and the only cure was the replacement......

WOW i thought it only happened to me,

but resetting the fuse does fix it. I dont know why or how but mine has done it 2x, each i had the fiver in tow and lost the brake controller to. -mad -mad

i think the puter gets confused if you play with the steering wheel buttons to much and apply the trailer brakes
