2005 Crew 4X4 - what's it worth?

Brother in law is selling his 2005 F250 Diesel Red Crew Cab short box 4X4 w/ 82K miles. Exhaust, looks to have a slight lift, running boards, cloth buckets. I think it is an xlt.

Any thoughts on what people are willing to pay for such a thing? I did search traderonline as well as edmunds but the numbers are all over the map. Again, I am looking for the rought price that the vehicles are actually selling for.

Value depends on where you are, condition of the truck and most importantly, what someone is willing to pay for it. It doesn't matter what the book says it's worth if no one will pay that much for it. 4x4 is going to be worth more in snowy areas than in warm places that don't see snow.
