Hi, My 2003 Ford F-250 6.0L 5 speed automatic is having a little difficulty. Let me explain.
It had a transmission cooler filter leak that got really bad. I had that fixed. The fluid level was all the way up when I left the shop, but then it started squeaking when I would start off from a stop. Like fingernails on a chalk board.
I put 1 more quart of fluid in it, that fixed that. Now here's the current problem. I pull it out of park, when I go through reverse it lunges backwards, then when I pull it down to drive the truck starts "raring to go". It's like the whole rear of the truck is bouncing up and down.and with the parking brakes set, you can see the driveshaft attempting to move. It threw a code when it had the low fluid for torque converter clutch solenoid stuck open. But I cleared it and it hasnt come back. But, truck is still doing the shake.
Any Ideas???
My mechanic is baffled I believe.
