2001 7.3 stalled at highway speeds

My wife has my truck, she in another state so I don't have access to it. She was driving on the highway 65 - 70 MPH and the engine stalled, it started back up after she stopped but it did it again, several times. There is some sputtering too.

Any other indicators.. SES/CEL or the like ?

All I could find out is the service engine light is on, I haven't been able to get to the truck to check it out.

With the truck being out of touch.. kinda hard to say what's up. 'bout the only thing to do is.. have her take it in for a good Scan ?

new CPS and a 10mm wrench.. it's only one bolt..

IIRC, There [was] a Recall on the CPS's ?? You (she) might be able to get it replaced under that ??

I'm not sure the recall is still active..
no matter.. the part is less than $40.
used to be they went for darn near $100..
