Help Needed 2000 SD power steering boxes

2000 SD power steering boxes How can you tell the differences between Tag SPA-JN which has 8 Splines Between Teeth & Tag SPA-KN which has 9 Splines Between Teeth without tag on steering box?

I've been facing that same question, just gonna have to take her off to find out. From what I was told HD 350's (over 10Kgvw) and up are the 9 spline, however the source could not confirm nor deny that statement.

I'm guessing this would be the spine count for the pittman arm connection if so you should be able to yank that bolt off and count the splines.
