I purchased a 2000 7.3 Excursion on Friday. Came with a Superchips Micro tuner. Tried changing the controller to Trailer Performance setting, now it won't crank. Followed all the directions on the handheld unit. Then tried changing it back to the Performance setting that it was on. Any ideas. Now trapped at home.

Thats the correct answer. Remove all superchips programs. It should start. Sometimes it takes several attempts at loading the programs to get them to take with the vehicles PATS system

With the 7.3 excusions you would need to do a PATS clear request with the ignition after tuning.
If you turn the ignition on without the tuner plugged up, watch the theft light, it should be flashing aprox. 3 blinks per sec. after about 30-45 sec. the theft light will slow or go out. Turn the igniton off and pull out the key for 10 sec. put the key into the ign. and turn to run but do not start wait until the theft light slows or goes out 30-45 sec, start the truck and then the key has been relearned.
This is in our maunal for the tuner, if you do not have a manual then got to superchips.com and go under installations and download the manual and you will have your own copy.
I hope this helps. :sweet If you have any questions feel free to email or call.

Thats what I was going to say but you took care of it :sweet I had to reset the PATS every time I changed the programming in our Excursion.

Ron, be sure and visit back from time to time it is great to see a company answering questions about there products.

I had that happen with a Hypertech tuner. Maybe because I had too many electrical items on. Did you have the radio on, open the doors, roll the windows up or down, or anything like that. I had the to take the truck to Ford and have the PCM reset. And I lost the hypertech program.
