I'd like to know what are some causes of engine cylinder glazing particular to the 7.3L :dunno

Ever since I started adding 2 cycle oil to my fuel it seems by coincidence that I'm adding more engine oil every 1,000 miles than before 2 cycle oil?

Possible the 2 cycle oil is glazing the cylinders?:dunno

I haven't seen an increase in oil consumption in the 4 months I've been adding it, but I've been using the Super Tech >Ash-less< 2 cycle oil. (White Bottle)

The 7.3L only has 67,000 on the clock but is going thru I want to say 2-3 quarts within 4,000 miles, seem unusual as it's quite a jump from the last oil change cycle.

Maybe a sign to change the oil/filter early?

I guess my suggestion would be to remove the 2 cycle from the picture for a tank or three and see if you have any different results Bill.

If you quit using the 2 cycle oil, and the oil consumption changes please let us know, I'll hold off using the 2 cycle oil until I hear more on this subject

Didn't you post a while back that you were using 2 oz. oil per gal. of fuel? Could that be part of the problem?
Yes that was for maybe 25 gallons just for giggles but I had brought it back to 1 oz on the next fill. I put in 11 gallons yesterday and added none.

where would you get a hold of 2% B100?
Buy it at B100 grade then add 2% to every gallon of pump Diesel or 2.5 oz of B100 to every gallon of pump Diesel.
