I just bought a 1999 Ford f250 7.3l pickup. I thought all was well but I didnt drive for a few days but a couple times up to store. Well I finally ended up having to turn on headlamps and they work but I have no tail lights but have brakes and turn signals and reverse lights. It also appears that I dont have illumination for gauges yet the lights for warning signals , ie: air bag lamp lights up. I also have no power locks and the mirrors go up and down and only one way right to left. My shifter lever is all screwed up which I need to replace because it flops forward and it also doesnt seem to go into park. I have actually had to put it in neutral in order to start almost everytime I start truck now... Help plz somebody......

The missing dash lights tell you that your tail lights are out. Bad bulbs, replace them.

Batteries going bad or corroded ground wire will cause really screwy electrical problems.

For grins get another vehicle and put some jumper cables on it to see if the problem goes away. If so take the batteries in and have them tested individually.
