bought '99 f350 4x4 the seller said truck came from texas is there a way check vin # or stick in the engine comparment.

give a Ford dealer the VIN and have then run an OASIS report

Carfax will give you a history of the vehicle that will indicate where it's been.

Carfax is probly the easiest way. If you just wanna know where the truck was built the first digit of the vin is a clue 1-us, 2-canada, 3-mehico.

If you give me the vin I can run a autocheck report on it. It's kinda like a carfax but it's supposed to be better.
