Sorry to interupt but If I'm not mistaken isn't a 97' with stock fuel system not capable of more then 75 or so HP unless they are one of those rare late edition's equipped with split shot injectors? Or aftermarket injectors? But hey what do I know?

yes muddy you are correct.but our older trucks are capable of sucking your eyes into your head about 1/8" with stock injectors and a good chip from BDP or Twildman.but on the other hand mine will suck yours eyeballs straight through the back of your head.mine will also spin all four rear tires straight through the gears into overdrive.:D :D :burnit

well thats not good news how do you know if you have the rare edition. so i am better off if i get a chip burned by a company like diesel innovations, ive herd they have the best chip around here its what my brother has on his 99 he blew his turbo and tranny cause he had stock intake and exhaust but now that he got exhaust and did the tymar intake he just blows the comp away along with leaving them in a large quantity of smoke

look on your passengers side valve cover, there will be a sticker,if its the CALI version it will say california emissions on it.

give ryan a call at www.beansdieselperformance.com .he will set you up with a chip with some wild programs.or PM Twildman on this site and he will set you up.

CALI version also has an additional (whattheheckisitRich?) regulator on the rear side of the fuel filter cannister.
