I have heard that the OE 17" wheels that come on 2005 superduty's will not fit a 2002 superduty. Does anybody know if this is true, and why they will not fit if it is? Thanks, JS

They have the correct bolt pattern, but the offset is wrong. They would sit too far inside your wheelwell, and some folks say they will rub the leaf springs at a full turn.

Here is why...the suspension binds before you even get going!!
First pic is a 2005 17" rim on my 2002 F350 4x4 and the second is the stock 2002 16" rim on my truck.

Nope, won't work due to wrong back spacing. It will work with a 1/4 inch spacer, but don't recommend it due to the truck weight.

If you get a hub centric wheel spacer you would be fine. The better ones will run about $100 each.

I bought SVO 18 inch rims for my 05X. They are the correct backspacing and no need for spacers.
