if I take mine out of OD and really mash 'er and hold it,I can get about 3200...on a real good day. It pulls pretty good at those rpms.

is there anyway to adjust the turbo.i would like to make it spool up alittle earlier if possible.also does the 10 k mod increase boost any?
There are no mechanical adjustments you can make on our turbos, what you can do (and I think you have) is run an open element air filter, change your down pipe, get rid of the muff and cat and if you feel froggy you can gut the EBPV. After that in stock form there isnt alot you can do.

Now you can change the exhuast housing to a smaller AR. Stock AR is 1.15 and you can go with a 1.00AR which is basically a tighter clearance between the exhaust turbine and the housing which makes the compressor spool faster. Going with a smaller exhaust housing can lead to higher EGT's.

What exactly is a EBPV, I have saw that term here before and can't seem to figure out what it is or what it does or how it could help my truck.

Exhaust Back Pressure Valve. It's a butterfly flap after the turbo that will close at startup when ambient temps are low. It's function is to allow faster warm ups and will open up once the engine is warm. When closed it sounds like a WOOSH/air leak. IIRC it's activated at 37*F

Your tranny must love you.

oh yeah.. were best friends:stir . I already replaced it when I bought it. Came with a 3 year 75000 mile warranty, so I figured heck, may as well beat it now and if it goes, get it replaced or repaired under warranty.:D

Thank you I know exactly what you are talking about now.
