But Good heavy duty pin for something else maybe ?

I used the center pin to run load lights on my car carrier trailer when I had it.

It wasn't hooked up for anything before that.

Ya still need that fuse at the battery. A short between the battery terminal and any of those accessories and its burn baby burn.

What size breaker would you recommend on a 1 gauge lead?

Doug, that is a pretty slick piece right there.

I could easily make up a cable to hook right up to that inverter from my power source I already have at the rear of my truck (pic above)

I wonder if I could just mount it in the bed permanently and then just plug it up when I needed it?

Stephen, Here is the thread I started when I was tossing around the same idea a while back. I still haven't installed mine yet but I need to get on it soon. My major problem was deciding if I want it in the back or in the cab. I am leaning towards the cab.
