My wife and I celebrate eighteen years together November 10. It takes work to keep a marriage going, and courage to stick by your mate when things go badly. Always be ready to forgive, never go to bed angry at your spouse. And never take it for granted that your mate will always be there for you. Things can change in the blink of an eye.

Right now my wife is in North Dakota with our daughter and son-in-law, daughter Krista gave birth to our newest grandchild yesterday. My wife will be there another three weeks. It is true what they say that absence makes the heart go fonder. I'm just glad for internet access, I make it a point to send her at least one e-mail a day.

The best move I ever made was marrying my wife. The second greatest move was joining the Air Force, if I hadn't done that I would have never met her.
