08 XLT Lartiat
White/Silver
6.4 Crew F-350 4X4 .. all the Bells and whistles
First observations.... Very quiet, Love that new Truck/Leather smell
Power observations... I think this would give my 7.3 a good run for the Money, 0-20 Ft I would have em beat... then Id have to shift gears.... the Torq shift would left me behind ....
Interior sound is = to a Gasser, lots of neat bells and whistles comparible to a Lincoln, ie Dual Climate controls, adjustable peddles heated seats... some of these have been available in the recent past models... however...still a great sales point.
MSRP on this was 54,287.00 not much higher than what I had seen on the 07's
Turn diameter is a bit better than the 06 and up and a lot better than my 99
no wind noise...or at least very minimal, nice solid feel.
The truck has a traction control feature, from a dead stop, with it on ...no spool up , just punching it. No loss of traction, smooth quick acceleration.
With the TC off....uhm.... no difference.
As my truck has a 6 speed, had I done this from second gear I would have been rolling smoke as I slammed in to third.
any way thought I'd share my observations.... this run was from around sea level up to 1200 in elevation. Dry Cool Cloudy conditions.
