Those drain valves look great. I haven't got one due to my fear that I'll maybe shear it off or somehow damage it if I go over a piece of debris or something similiar. If the valve is sticking a couple of inches below the oil pan, what prevents such a catastrophe? Am I too paranoid?

The front axle housing.

I have probably put that valve through more abuse. Due to the recent snow storms I have been high centered in that area on some pretty hard snow ice more times then I can remember each time I was really worried about it and I would look under there and I could see the evidence with the snow and ice on it. It still works fine no damage.
