Does the '07 6.0 have all that emissions crap on it like the 6.4, or is it like the '06 6.0?

The one's that I have crawled under have the same stuff as the '06 models and earlier. The sticker on the inside of the door should say '06 on it even though it was sold as an '07 model.

The new emissions crap only applies to engines built in '07, not just model year '07. From what I've seen and heard, all the 2007 Super Duties with diesel engines, have engines that were built in 2006, and possibly the entire truck was built in 2006.

I read that Ford stopped making 07 truck on or about Dec 10 of last year.

The 6.4 is a totally different engine. ALL 6.0s will be basically the same when you are discussing the emissions junk. It makes no matter the year the truck was built, the difference is the model year. MY08 is a big change for all the diesel motors. All the current 6.4L are built in 2007 BUT are MY08 motors so they are required to meet the emission regulations hence the DPF (diesel particulate filter) in the exhaust system. You will not find a MY07 Super Duty with a DPF.

Yeah, the 6.4 is the only motor with the "new" emissions stuff. The 6.0's did not get the DPF, the 07's were just 06's sold in 07.
but the 07 (6.0L) is NOT w/out emissions stuff...theres a "cat" (aka soot
trap) and an EGR "system".
the 6.4L added the DPF (diesel particulate filter) and the regen system.
also the EGR cooler & its coolant is completely isolated from the rest of
the engine coolant (system)...unlike the 6.0L
trap) and an EGR "system".

thanks, i didn't know if they added the DPF to the '07 6.0
in the truest sense of the word they didnt add a DPF until the 08 6.4L
the 03-07s 6.0L has an un-monitored (no pre or post o2 sensors) CAT.
true... all the 6.0 basically the same, the NEW emission garbage is on the 6.4
