I had a '04 Excursion that ran like a top until the flash. All the same problems...horrible dog, black smoke spewing, high EGT's etc. I had it in 6 times in 2 months (I even put it on a dyno to prove the lack of power). Finally, my wife got a job a the dealership and I got a great deal on a new truck! Without her, Dodge would have gained a customer. It shouldn't be this hard. Any, and I mean ANY, other manufacturer that gets $50k+ for a vehicle gives much better service. I couldn't even get a focus as a rental. What do people do that need their truckd to make a living? Just not not work while it's in the shop? Sure do love my truck though!

LOL, my "comprable" loaner vehicle to my 350 lariat dually (which is used to haul for work, and to transport clients on occasion) was a dodge neon with manual everything, and bald tires (cords showing on the fronts). Luckily they gave my truck back before I needed it for work...
