06 Tachometer issues..??

Weird problem, as of late the tach has been way off and not consistant.. Sometimes way low, sometimes way high, sometimes right on.. Seemed like loose needle, because when real high I can peg it against boost guage and make it back off some the amount it slips I suppose... But it seems to be a day by day issue. Is this common in others?? Any Fixes? Did some searching and can't seem to find anything.

I guess that is a bad sign - suppose not a common problem in our trucks being no one answered...

Nevermind, got it fixed.. Thanks for anyone who thought about helping.
Put in dignostics mode, swept guages and has been ok since. Guess I will now after a few more days - but seems good as it was changing on a daily basis.
