OK FELLA'S,
DROPPED OFF THE TRUCK AT THE DEALER, AND THEY CALLED THE NEXT DAY AND SAID THE COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. SAID THEY HOOKED IT TO THE COMPUTER, AND IT WASN'T THROWING ANY CODES. THEY ALSO TOLD ME IT WAS NORMAL TO GET 14.9 MPG. (FROM 17.2 IN A WEEK) SO I HAVE MY TRUCK BACK NOW. IT STILL MAKES THE SAME WIERD NOISE FROM A STOP, AND I AM STILL OVER 2 MPG LESS ON FUEL MILEAGE.... ALL WITHIN A WEEK.... BUT THEY SAID NOTHING IS WRONG!

CHAD

ORIGINAL PROBLEM: WIERD NOISE AT EXCELLERATION. SOUNDS LIKE IT IS USING WAY TO MUCH RPM'S,(MAYBE LIKE THE TURBO ISN'T KICKING IN) AND THE FUEL THING!

They say there is nothing wrong because the only thing any dealer idiot can do is read the codes. To those simpletons, no code = no problem. Find a real mechanic and get the diagnosis then go back to the dealer. Wont be free but will probably cure it.

i agree w/ the atty (that doesnt happen much, when im not payin' one ;)

take 'em for a ride in the truck.

give us some details (year, trans etc)...do you have a boost guage ?
whats it doing...at steady throttle, at slight acceleration ? at heavy
accelleration ?

what about an EGT guage...got one ? whats it reading doing ?

im not trying to sell you more mods but they do go along way
to help diagnose symptoms.

my guess is its a sticking VGT/vanes or the EGR...and both can
be easily diagnosed (and should set codes)...

again like atty says...they dont diagnose the trucks and alot of
times the 1st thing they do is clear ALL the codes and see if they
"set" (or throw) 'em again...

take the mechanic for a ride and if he says thats normal then ask
to take a brand new truck out for a demo/proof (to the mechanic)
that it is NOT normal.
