Hi my 06 F250 PSD is having some electrical issues. Just brought to dealership as they are trying to figure out the problem as well been there for 3 days and a bunch of labor involved. Here is the story...One night went out to start the truck and a slow crank started so i turned the key off and it kept cranking by itself. Then I tried to have a friend jump me and whenever he put the cables on my terminals it wanted to crank with key not turned on at all. So i left until the next day until i tapped the started selonoid and jumped it and everything was fine except now i have no speedometer, cruise control, trip, MPG and i'm not getting full turbo boost. So i read a bunch of forums after checking all fuses, relays, installing two new batteries, VSS sensor and new instrument cluster still not the problem. No codes or warning lights came on during this whole mess. So now its at Ford as we speak and they cant pinpoint the issue either. They said they found a shorted wire and fixed it. They said it could be my ABS module and PCM. Which it may be but replacing parts without knowing what it could be is very expensive.
The speedometer and trip are really now a big concern to me its the Turbo Boost that bothers me. When I start the vehicle the speedometer moves to zero then drops below zero after driving a mile or so and I lose a lot of boost it wont go over 17-18 psi. This is the only issue i have ever had with this truck can anyon please help me?
