My alloy wheels are pitted. I can find simulators all day long for steel wheels but nothing for alloys. Will simulators work on alloy wheels? if so, where? If not, why?

Go to a tire place near you and ask if they can recommend a company that refurbishes Ford wheels. I went to Discount Tire
and they had someone that they used.
