Hi all, I just picked up an 05 F550 Lariat. It came with a regular metal key and it cranks, but it wont start. If I spray ether down the intake, she'll start for a sec then die. There are no codes. Is my problem a lack of a PATS key??? How can I tell if I need one or not? Any info is greatly appreciated!

iirc, there was no pats key on the f series until 08. excursions had them, but not trucks.

sounds to me like you arent getting fuel. filter's clean? open the water separator and see if you get fuel coming out when you turn the key on?

First off don't be spraying Ether into a 6.0, it could go Boom big time or you could get a Ether lock. I don't know about the keys, but I am sure someone here does.

X3. #2 ULSC Detonates. Ether Explodes. Big Diff.

:lmao Oh I will Doug, I will :lmao

Think'n Back... There's been a good number of Gremlins, that were thought to be "Big Buck"... "Take It To the Dealer"... fixes.... remedied by just Clean'n things up a touch.. and testing some Batts..

I'll stay with it ;tu :lmao
