I just bought an 04 350 super crew long bed. i love the truck. I have a clicking sound in rear of truck. Like you are tapping a quarter on a glass table.
I only hear it when on a flat road or so. I take my foot of the gas and let the truck idle while still in gear etc. I then can hear thick click. Then maybe click click. No apperant pattern. I have hit speedbumbs to make it happen. Does not do it or effect it. I tied with zip ties the e brake cable in spote so that cant tap the frame. i even added a exhaust bracket to stiffen up the tail pipe. I think of the u joints. But nothing in reverse to drive or anything. I can shake the rear of the truck tires to hear end play in the rear. It on occasion will click similar to what i am hearing in the cabin. No issues while on freeway to speak of. I can droip the tail gate and tap the bedliner to the floor of truck bed with my hand. When tapping it down, when it hits the bed floor it clicks similar to what i am hearing. But this does not get weorse with bumps. I dont think suspension. But like you are tapping the frame with a small light hammer. its faint but definately there. Not sure of u joint, end play, etc.
