Anyone know what the factory has done different if anything from the different years of motors? I am aware of c94 and c95 injectors from 03 to 04's?
thanks again guys.

i dont really know for sure. they did change the boost tube on the intake side of the 05's and after to a plastic type tube with a diff. clamp on the intake. they were prone to blowing off on the 03's & 04's. but as for the actual engine itself, i dont know of any diff.'s

melmount, just step back a little and take a deep breath. you're asking so many questons so fast. if you're not having any troubles right now, just enjoy the truck.

then if something is going wrong, we we'll all help you as much as possible.

your gonna be paranoid thinking or expecting something to go wrong every minute of every day.

just chill bud, it'll be alright. :thumbs

actually there was a TSB on the 03/04's that changed the boost
tube from plastic to alum....ive got one plastic tube and one alum,
and *I* wasnt listed in the vin range for the alum. inter cooler
tube/replacement...

id like to have the alum. one...just for looks :D but i really dont
need it...none of mine have EVER blown off.

'bama is right 'bout the paranoia...its what these forums and the
media (aka tv & magazines) will do to you...seriously if you read &
believe some (forums) youd have to be afraid to drive it for fear
that it was gonna blow up in your face and leave a creator where
you and your family were sitting.

theres lemons in everything...good lord i had one of those GM diesels
(in an olds cutlass)...talk about a pos...and ive had other cars that
were more costly (for damm sure) to keep on the road (reliable yes,
expensive to repair...HELL yeah) can you say AUDI 5000 SD.

its mechanical...its gonna wear & break sh&^T...be glad you can get
parts at autozone & that its the #1 selling truck (theres plenty of
folks 'round that know stuff & can help).

50k miles w/out a single problem. (although i just discovered that
my airfilter meter was bust...little duck tape repaired that worthless
pos too)

was that early on ? I think the factory didnt clamp 'em tight enough...
ive got the nice spring loaded clamp...i just wreched 'em down GOOD
when i started reading the stories...it stopped the bulk of my
blow by too.

Id love to have a CCV solution (like is avail for the 7.3)...would love
to stop the blow by/accumulation (that must be building up in the intercooler)

i dont really remember. i was just gettin it down the interstate, and BOOM.

i thought for sure i had blown the turbo up or something. no power what so ever, it scared me to death. brand new truck, hardly any miles to speak of.

so i called the service adv. at home, told him what had happened, and he told me exactly what it was.

sure nuff, when i pulled over at a stuckey's, raised the hood, it was off. i let it cool down for about 30 mins. and put it back on and tightened 'er up.

good thing i had just purchased some tools to keep on the truck. :thumbs

the only things i know is the turbo got a diff compressor wheel from 03-04. and the 05's went up in torque, and seemed to get faster...and yes ur worrying to much, those 6.0's are actually pretty good engines, uve got the one person who will have a bad one, and it will spread through several thousand people that their all junk. so dont worry, if you havent had any problems, you probly wont, my uncles 03 6.0 has 205,000 miles and still truckin problem free. and yes, im still missin my 6.0.....
