02 Superduty f250 on a f450 frame question

Thanks for the advice. Im picking up the truck Saturday for a grand total of trading my 89 Mustang gt worth about 3 grand and 2,500 cash so im getting this thing for a steal. Yea im going to start with getting that stake body off and finding a bed and just trial and error figure out something cool to do. Anyone want the bed thats on there lol I dont even know what its worth.

I remember seeing an article a few years back in a diesel truck magazine, Diesel Power I think. The guy who fabricated his truck had the same problem you had. The trick to solving it was some creative body work, filling the four inches between the body and the bed with another section of bed that had the rear section crushed. He cut the good front section away and used that. He put an additional fuel tank in the space.

Glad you posted Ray, I was thinking of that but couldn't remember where
I had seen it before. He made it look good and didn't cost a lot.
