02 Superduty f250 on a f450 frame question

I just bought a 02 superduty from a friend for dirt cheap 5 grand. It is a F250 body sitting on a F450 frame with a stake body bed. I hate the stake body but the reason my friend did this was for work and because the F250 bed doesnt fit. Will a F450 dually bed fit does anyone know. I will just have to modify the fenders I guess. He didnt have any suggestions for me. Any help would be great.

Looks like it could be set up of a long bed.

Long bed according to what he told me from a F250 is short by couple inches. So I guess im going to get the tape measure out and try to figure this out.

Well I know that but I dont have lots of tools and ability to fabricate to make a bed fit. Im just trying to see if there is a factory bed that will fit without tons of modification.

Did the 02 F-450 have a flat frame over the real axe?

Ill have to check. Supposidly from what im getting people are telling me I am going to have to buy an 8ft bed and ext it 4in to fit flush with the cab.

Sounds like it would be less work to shorten the frame 4 inches.

99-..06 I think... 450/550 only came as a chassis cab, with a longer frame. you could mount the bed, ... that would give you and area between the cab and the bed for ... ?? storage... fuel cell... Dog kennel...need to find a spec sheet ... that would give you the lengths of the frame... and give you an idea of the room left over...

Very small sleeper cab! haha Storage would be cool or a sweet tool box.
