Yeah that is the way he described it, no base oil pressure = no high oil pressure = no injectors. I just would think if this was the case some kind of code would throw. He said is was extremely rare to lose the high pressure pump but had seen a few low pressur pumps go. He also said to...- DPerkins

Thanks guys for the info. I had one of the dealers tell me if the truck will not make base oil pressure the control loops will put the truck in a no start mode. He suggested I put a manual oil pressure guage on the truck. My manual showed the sender port being behind the fuel filter on the...- DPerkins

So just pull the juice out and leave everything else hooked up? I switch it to stock mode and it made no difference. I did not try removing it though. Any thoughts on base oil pressure. What I did notice while cranking it the oil pressure needle never moved. One dealership thought it...- DPerkins

O.k. as far as mods it had an edge juice, big exhaust, cold air kit. Engine is stock and turbo is stock. I pulled the codes and there weren't any. No smoke on start-up at all. It has been running great. Haven't noticed any loss of power or anything. Has been starting quick. That is...- DPerkins

Yeah I had already purchased one but once I got it out the new one wasn't compatible. It was genuine motorcraft but the one that I bought had the prefilter screen and paper filter as one unit. The one in the truck had the prefilter as part of the lid so I couldn't install it. Just seems like...- DPerkins
