    Trouble shifting into Drive

It got progressively worse. Since I'm aiming for absolute bulletproofing no matter what, I ordered the stage 6 ATS 4R100. Youtube reviews seem to be somewhat mixed, but ATS looks like a really professional operation with a strong focus on quality, and the parts that I can evaluate (like the new...

    Trouble shifting into Drive

I think Shaggy's right and my transmission (2000 F-350 7.3L, is that a 4R100?) is probably blown. Any recommendations for a remanufacturer or is it not too late to do some bullet-proofing? If so, where should I take it? (I'm in central Texas). Or should I just go all the way and switch to an...

    2000 F-350 7.3L Diesel Excursion (CABT)

It was a year 2000 F350 with 250k+ miles. It looks new inside, though.. vintage 2000-era dashboard, radio, seats, etc ;)

    2000 F-350 7.3L Diesel Excursion (CABT)

thank you!!! no it's actually about the same length as an F-350 long bed crew cab, I think about 22 feet. If I'm careful, we just barely fit into a regular parking space, even with the hitch step. Of course we still park it a good ways out just to keep it safe.

    Trouble shifting into Drive

That'd be great... How can I diagnose it? If it's hard to get into drive but doesn't slip out, would it still be toast?

    Trouble shifting into Drive

Thanks Shaggy! Yikes.. it doesn't slip out of gear while driving. Perhaps I should take it out to one of the bullet-proofing guys. (I'm in Central Texas).

    2000 F-350 7.3L Diesel Excursion (CABT)

Conversion performed in 2018 (IIRC) by Custom Autos by Tim in Guthrie, OK. When the previous owner sold it back to Tim and I bought from Tim last year. (Photos are from Custom Autos by Tim; I added 7.3L diesel badges and a bug deflector, but otherwise the truck is very similar.) I really love...

    Trouble shifting into Drive

Hi y'all, I have a 2000 F-350 (CABT Excursion conversion, love it) and sometimes I can't really shift it into Drive. It shifts into D without problem, but it's not engaged and if I press down on the accelerator, it just revs. Sometimes I shift it into 2 or 1 and then wiggle it into D. Is this a...
