    UPDATE!! After dropping the tank, found screen was floating in the bottom of the tank. There was a ton of black "junk" in the bottom of the tank, including a few rocks?? Got everything put back together, took fuel lines apart, blew out with the air compressor...5 gals of fuel, started...ran...

    Doing that is much cheaper than a new sending unit....So will be trying that out..... Thanks!!!

    No aftermarket mods that I am aware of. Would you run fuel system cleaner through it all or take it all apart and flush with ___???

    Well.....found the screen..it was not on the tube, but instead at the bottom of the tank. The tank was however full of junk, so gonna clean that out too...What are the chances of needing to replace the whole assembly since the screen was not on the tube?????

    :) have tried many jeep forums, can't figure it out....thanks for the link though, but unfortunately that one has been tried too....:) Hopefully the truck will be good to go, and can haul it in to a mechanic....

    99 F250 superduty 7.3L turbo. We had a bad freeze last year (-36) and the diesel gelled. It started not running right, loss of power at random times eventually dying. We replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and it was running good for a few months. Now it has started running bad again...
