    1st time using B20

Biodiesel is SUPPOSED to meet ASTM specs (6751). I would like to think that if you are purchasing your fuel...it would meet specs. If it's homebrew, it's a toss up to whether or not it passes (most don't have it tested). That said, it can pass the ASTM specs and still vary, and a lot of it...

    need some cooking help

I found an old recipe tonight that is a snap to make. "Smothered Steak" Take a couple pounds of steak, cut up into 3 or 4 inch squares. Put some oil in a skillet and fry the steak until almost done. Use a medium high heat (not super hot) Take the steak out and drain most of the oil off...

    AC Shutting Off

Also wiggle the pigtail connection on top of the compressor. Mine has a short in it and will periodically go out. I can wiggle the connection and the compressor will immediately kick in, and it usually stays running for a few days.

    10K, 5.6K, Etc...

How it works.. The resistor draws down the current that is passed from the sensor, which makes the computer think that there is a lower amount of fuel being injected. To compensate for this, it ups the current more, and more fuel is injected. Here's how to do it: TikiWiki : 10 K Mod The...

should i hear my turbo like the newer ones?

The idle change is normal. You can put some diodes in there and it won't affect idle at all. the current won't pass through those until after it gets above idle, so the mod is "turned" off when you're at idle. I'm not sure what the effect would be while towing, but it'd be best if you had...

    Oil Pan Replacement

How bad is the leak? My flywheel inspection cover rubbed a hole in my pan, the shop was able to use some of the IH silicon on it and it hasn't leaked yet...may be a good temporary solution depending on how big/rusted the spot is.

    best price on stacks?

Patrick, I think you already found the best price.... it may be possible to piece a whole system together (think big truck junkyards), but for a whole setup from one guy, you've probably got it.

    First Blackstone Report...

Finally sent a sample to blackstone to be tested. The whole process was MUCH faster than I expected. I think I sent the sample in Tuesday or Wednesday last week. Their website had me expecting a month delay.... got the results today. Here's what they found: Good: Antifreeze - 0 Water...

    air box sensor?

That's an air intake temp sensor. You can just zip-tie that to the fender to keep it out of the way. You can put it in a plastic baggie if you like to keep it clean (I didn't..)

    Need E-Brake Cable.....Where To Look??

Not sure if I'm understanding what you're saying....but my cable goes from the pedal back to the rear axle.. (Maybe some electronic cable is what you're meaning?) I had to replace the cable to the axle, and got it from the dealer. No one else had it, and it was only about 20 bucks.

    2wd lift kits

Need some opinions. I'd like to lift my 2WD truck (not a lot, but I like the height of a stock 4WD..) Can't go with a body lift because of my gooseneck hitch. Does anyone make a lift kit for 2WD OBS trucks?

    2008 6.4 150,000mile test

Sure, they only went 150K. But, they did it in 131 days. and all pulling 12 - 18k. I don't know anybody drives like that. Shoot, if they just did that for a whole year, they'd be up around 420k. That'd be neat.

    Transfer Tanks

I've done that too! We went camping and I brought about 65 gallons of biodiesel with me in 5 gallon cubies. Refilled at a road-side park (twice) and once at the campground. We made it over 1000 miles on the fuel without stopping at a gas station. It worked, but has me craving a real...

    5.6k mod???

Well...the good thing about these kinds of mods it their easy to take back out. If you DO set a CEL, just re-start and it's gone....no biggy. I *think* I've got a 1K installed in my truck now. It works good. I can set the CEL if I get on it in 5th, and floor it. Funny, though, if I start...
