Boost Question
if the wheel is bad get this wheel..others sell it by another name as well.. http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=47 if there is up and down play in the wheel..get a rebuild kit and rebuild it..any in and out play..the turbo is junk..- early 99 stroker

Boost Question
yes it is a common thing for the donuts to go bad..a lot of us went to bellowd up pipes that do not use the donuts...any soot is a signe of boost loss..the turbo needs that exhaust to spin the turbo....nic's,chips or dusted wheel is also a signe of bad boost...- early 99 stroker

Boost Question
the best way to look for leaks is with a boost leak detector like this one..or you can build one Intake Pressure Tester is the turbo wheel clean or have any play ?? how about the up pipes behind the turbo?? are the donuts gone? do you see any soot around them??- early 99 stroker

the air intake heater (AIH) was meant to heat the air just before it goes into the motor on cold mornings..it is supposed to cut back on the white smoke on cold start up..it doesn't do a thing but restrict air flow..most people gut it and plug the hole in the spider.. or like I did..I made it...- early 99 stroker

better reponse, better pick up, eng. runs quiter is about it..if its set to high..(70PSI or higher) the truck may run ruff...65 PSI is recomended..- early 99 stroker

here are my new manual telescopic, heated, electric lighted tow mirrors with the chrome covers i got in the claasifieds for 175 at my door...while I'm on the subject..my truck didn't have electric..I have a switch out of an 04 truck..does any one have the wire diagram for the switch its self...- early 99 stroker

Ported Compressor Housing
you could if you new the spec's..but the ball bearing housing will not work on the stock turbo..they use the ATS housing on a stocker that does the same thing..- early 99 stroker

Question about "stock tune" on TS performance chips
the TS has taken over the PCM...your SC wont do a damn thing till you remove the TS chip...- early 99 stroker

Fuel pressure too high?
just what Joe said..some truck dont like 70 PSI..mine dont..it likes 65 PSI..dyno runs show better HP when set at 65 as well...as long as the pump can hold 65 PSI..- early 99 stroker

Oil Pan/dipstick Leak
not any harder then under the truck..with the vise grips on it..there is no need to hold the dam thing till the job is done like you do with the string..or worry about the sick on the end twisting on you and letting the nut fall into the pan..the vice grips wont fit though the hole or let go of...- early 99 stroker

7.3L Turbo Question...
sorry for posting so late guy's..i got a new turbo for my truck and I spaced this right out untill i got a PM this morning.. I gutted the pedestal just like in this vid only I use orings on the inside and out side of the bolt..i also used a locking nut on the inside to keep the bolt from...- early 99 stroker

Extreme Low power until 10 minutes
one end of the tube is on the passenger side exhaust manifold near the front..you can see it by looking inside the wheel well..the tube goes up to the sensor you can see in this pic.- early 99 stroker

the kit is pricey.. I got mine 3 years ago for 80 bucks..it can be made with parts from a parts store..I have pix scattered someplace.. ill look when I get home...the job isn't all that hard to do and the gains will be well worth it... yes you do have air still getting in there..if you have not...- early 99 stroker

sounds like your getting ahead of it now..good deal..and good thinking Joe..;tu did you hear from Jody yet? the in tank mod is a great idea.and is most likely your problem..I assumed you had already done the supporting mods..ICP will read high and ruff when fuel is low..like gelling up..ITP has...- early 99 stroker

he said it runs good with no problems in stock setting..in a tune is when it does this..don't know how long he has had the chip..I got no answer yet..did it start skipping when he puts the chip in? or has the chip been there for a while then it started skipping?? some trucks take a couple burns...- early 99 stroker

if every thing is fine with no chip then i would call Jody..how long have you had the chip? if it was map ot IPR .i would think it would show up even with out a chip..i have a spare IPR i could lend you if want to try it..i took it out cause i thought it could be a problem i had..it didnt fix...- early 99 stroker

it will idle ruff till the air gets out..you said it starts better but no other change..so it may not have been the trouble..does it run ruff all the time of just on cold starts?? did the trouble start right after the chip install?? i know its a pain in the azz..but you might want to pull the...- early 99 stroker

7.3L Turbo Question...
I hope you unplugged the EBPV sender on the pedestal..if you didn't..the bearing is starving for oil....could also be the cause of the oil leek..you can gut the pedestal tap the hole and plug it with a bolt..or just buy a non EBPV pedestal..if you want to gut it ill post back a more in depth how...- early 99 stroker
