    Are you sure the solenoid is good? I agree it's highly suspicious that you'd have multiple PCMs that are bad. I'd check the wiring harness and the solenoid itself. Code P0046 is set when a short to ground, open, or short to power is identified in the VGTCV or wiring between the PCM and VGTCV...

    Interesting... my 2006 does similar... it wanders all over the place. I thought it was because I had it tuned, but it might just be a really sloppy PID control loop in the cruise control. I never have found a cure.

    I'm hoping the brass didn't make it down there, but who knows... Truck has been good on water in fuel, seems like since they went to plastic tanks, they don't sweat as much as the old steel ones did.     I don't know that any of them will "remove" the water. It's still going to convert to steam in the injector which is the problem, along with possible hydraulic lock. Unfortunately, you're best bet is going to be to drain that pia HFCM...

    Sounds like EGR it goofing up. Air flow isn't going to make black smoke, only unburnable gasses, or too much of them, hence EGR.

    If the cooler is shot, when it's hot it could be letting exhaust get into the cooling system, hence the puking. Could be a crack that opens up a bit more when heated. You could have the valve unplugged, but if it's leaking or not seated closed, or one of the o rings is bad, gas will get by it.
