New 6.7 PSD Ford F-250 SuperCab -First miles!

Glad to hear how well you like your new 6.7 (406 cubic inch) PSD devgru! I'm really getting into my new F-250 ALSO. It 's hard to believe that 400 HP and 800 Ft Lbs of torque can be so smooth, strong, and get 20 + MPG too. I guess maybe it's too early for many 6.7 PSD Mods--maybe the engine is...

New 6.7 PSD Ford F-250 SuperCab -First miles!

Thanks MPG---I thought it was good with only 50 miles on the new 6.7 PSD. Does anyone know if the new 2012 F-250 with Camper and tow packages and the 10,000 GVWR pack will haul/tow my 11,500 lbs fifthwheel as good as my 2001 with same camper/tow packages ,BUT the main difference= my old 2001 had...

    6.7 PSD engine/trans mods?

Good tip WD40! I have a set of AIR RIDES on my current 2001 Ford F-350 SuperCab &.3 PSD. Perhaps the BEST addition I ever made to the F-350 for towing our 2007 Designer Fifthwheel. Put about 40 PSI in the rear bags and you ride level with no bottoming out carrying about 13 K pounds and 40 feet...

SuiteHauler: Have you towed a fifthwheel trailer yet? Just wondered because I have a new Ford F-250 Supercab Lariat 6.7 PSD on order, and wondered how the new unit handles the job. I have a 2001 Ford F-350 SuperCab with the reliable 7.3 with tow package & have pulled our 40' Designer 12 times to...

    6.7 PSD engine/trans mods?

Thanks WD40-I really hope there is little not to like about the new ,all-Ford 6.7 PSD. I wonder if the UREA-Exhaust Fluid will be something that can be omitted for better performance. Also, Does anyone know what the difference is in the Ford F-350 and F-250 (equiped with similar "towing Package"...

    6.7 PSD engine/trans mods?

:sweetI have a new 6.7 Power Stroke Diesel Ford F-250 SuperCab on order, and was wondering within Gov't/Manufacturer specs and warranty limitations what performance and fuel effeciency mods can be made without major expense? Question 7.3 PSD(4 in. Down Pipe Install and Performance Gain

Thanks Big Joe---guess the 3 1/2 inch factory down pipe will not help my addition of a 4 inch exhaust system (from down pipe back) after all! I heard the fire wall most be altered (beaten with a hammer!) anyway--I surely wouldn't do that! Thanks again Joe!

Question 7.3 PSD(4 in. Down Pipe Install and Performance Gain

Has anyone added a larger -4 inch Down Pipe to their 7.3 PSD's ? I have a straight pipe on my 2011 F-350 Lariat SuperCab which works Great--Is a MBRP 4 inch down Pipe going to help?? Is it as tough an install as it immediately appears? THANKS for any help!

Even then FORD HAD A BETTER IDEA!

Ford Motor Company played a patriotically vital role in WWII building a huge array of fighting equipment like the awesome B-24 seen in this vdieo clip. Most people don't realize FORD made probably as many "Jeeps" as Willys did. FORD Truly has had a "Better Idea" for years and has helped preserve...

More talk about 5 buck fuel again by may.

Thank Hussein Soetoro Obama---He struck down the Pipeline from Canada--Now our snubbed Canadian friends feel rejected and are talking about building the new pipeline to the west coast and selling the extra oil to the Communist Chinese. Obummer is forcing America to by more oil from his Muslim...

    Help Needed Poor fuel mileage

Take off the factory muffler and run a straight pipe from turbo on back, then put on a good Air Box and Filter like AFE,ect. Get more air in and push more out=power and better mileage. These are the two biggest HP and Mileage gains I performed on my 7.3 PSD for the least cost. If you have...

    Exhaust Suggestions....

Stroked68--Did you install the 4" down tube from the turbo? I have the 4" MBRP system, but didn't include the down pipe which would help reduce EGTs,improve power for towing and fuel mileage. If you can give me any help on this down pipe installation it would be greatly appreciated--should I try...

    Driving & Towing 5th wheel

Rear suspension (AIR RIDE) Air Bags are a great addition to keep the truck level when towing. You can air them down to 12-15 pounds for regular driving. They are really a huge help when towing heavy trailers at a relatively reasonable price. Not sure if this would help as much in your case--good...

Is Muffler delete bad? (7.3 PSD)

My muffler has been off my 2001 F-350 PSD since 15K miles. After over 10 years of hauling a 13K lbs,40 ft long fifthwheel from Indiana to South Florida and back 12 times and over 118,000 total miles--I can safely conclude that this was probably the most effective, economical, and best power...

    Rear Main Seal leaking

Hardly think all of us are "old women" for trying to identify the source of a common eng ine issue!! Rear Main Seal leaking

I have heard that the new ,low sulfur diesel fuel will eventually eat the small seals that are on the presure relief value on the back of the fuel filter canister. This value is(yellow color) on the back of the fuel filter canister that you can manually drain any water or bad fuel from the...
