    just thinking here BUT!!!!!

I've seen Detroit engines with a roots type charger and a turbo mounted on top of it. The blower was used mostly for scavenging, but it did provide a few pounds of low speed boost. Once the turbo began to spool up, the charge air was routed around the blower to provide boost to the engine.

    Price for my OBS

X2 what Scot said. Kelley Blue Book is a good resource. Dealers around here list the blue book value on the windows of used vehicles because everyone around here is using it.

Buying 1st Super Duty - some clarifications

Very well stated Crummy. I've driven Duramax angines and I've driven Cummins engines. All have their good points and their bad points. It's all a matter of personal preferance, how well it does the job you need to do, and what is in you'r price range. I personally love my 7.3, but the later...

    Grounded MAP sensor?

I've never had the engine defuel. It runs good and seems to have good power. I was wandering if it was grounding the signal wire to act as a boost fooler to avoid defueling the engine under full boost. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the engine?

    Grounded MAP sensor?

Got my 2002 7.3 used. Whoever had the truck before me has a crimp on slice on the green wire coming from the MAP sensor and goes to ground. Does anybody have any idea what this does? I was thinking it gounds the signal and works as a boost fooler, but I don't know. It has been like this...

    Catalytic Converter

We have two 2002 7.3L in my family. One had a cat and one didn't. As of right now, neither of them do. The local Ford dealer told us they build 50 state legal trucks and they build 48 state legal trucks. Other than that, who knows? :dunno

Ever have a starter fall off?

Yeah, the remaining original bolt was a grade 8.8 I put in some grade 10.9 I had laying around. Hopefully that does the trick. So far, so good.

Ever have a starter fall off?

Started my truck last night to leave work and heard a loud rattle and bumping sound under the truck. When I got home and checked things out, I found the starter was about to fall off. One bolt was missing and the other one was almost completely out. Don't know what caused them to suddenly...

    Clutch replacement

I know the day is gonna come when I need to replace my clutch. I was just wondering if anybody has any suggestions as to what brand to go with. Always heard Luk builds a good clutch, but also heard South Bend is also very good. I want to go with a solid flywheel conversion. Any suggestions...

    Truck Color?

It doesn't quite look like Toreador Red Metallic. That's what mine is. Your truck does appear to be a lighter shade of red, but it could be the picture. Like Bama said, check the paint code to be sure.

    AC is blowing hot air!

Check to make sure the compressor is running. If not it could be as simple as a fuse, orthe system could be out of refrigerant. Also make sure the evaporator and condensor are clean.

    Clunking on my 01 F250

    need serious help here..

my uncle just had the same symptoms with his '02 7.3. Acted just like a cam sensor, no check engine light, and no codes. Dealer replaced the ICP sensor and the injection pressure regulator. Runs like a top now. ICP sensor was around $193 and the IPR was over $300.
