    Question 7.3 loaded or unloaded

My EBPV will open if you tap the brake pedal. When idleing, the EBPV will open whenever the throttle, brake, or clutch pedal is depressed. Will also open when the E-brake is released. When driving, the EBPV will oped when you press down on the throttle or lift completely out of the throttle.

    Ice pictures.

Just to update on the return trip, I averaged about 18.5 mpg on the way home. Not bad for bad weather driving, but the slower speeds kinda helped it out. The CB whips handled it fine. Guess I did a pretty good job making brackets. The factory radio antenne on the other hand, well, it was...

    Ice pictures.

Just thought I'd share a few pictures with you all of my trip last night. I drove from Columbus,OH to Harrisburg, PA in some rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet. Mostly just rain until I got into the Laurel Highlands on the PA Turnpike. Topped the first mountain and the front of the truck...

    MBRP exhaust question.

Not a problem there, I got access to a brand new Snap-On open front alignment rack and 2 post lifts. :sweet Does the position of the thermalcouple probe in the manifold effect the temp. reading? What I mean is, if the probe comes straight in the back of the manifold versus up from the bottom...

    Cool Pics

Just thought I'd share a couple more pics of a pinnacle landing. Remember, the pilot cannot see what is directly below them. The flight engineer radios the aircrafts position and the pilot adjusts. That's what you call trust. Enjoy. I don't mean to hijack this thread or anything, I'm just...

Thanks for the replys guys. After sticking my head in the fender well and checking things out, I see there is a good bit of room.

    MBRP exhaust question.

This one is for you guys that are running an MBRP exhaust system. Does the downpipe come with a fitting in it for a pyrometer? I know pre-turbo is the right way to do it, but I may just go post turbo for simplicity.

    Cool Pics

The two pictures of the Chinook Helicopter (tail number 269) are from the unit I was in. Co. G/104th Avn. based out of Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA. The pictures were taken while we were deployed to Afghanistan. The second picture was actually the first attempt at the landing, but one of the aft...

Post a Pic of da Pet

Here is my buddy, Bubba. He is a 3 year old Australian Shepherd. Got him from a friends Dad in upstate NY. He uses them to bring dairy cattle in and out of his milking parlor. The first one is from his first fall. The other two are from this summer. He loves his frisbee and he loves to...

    The first F-Series truck

Awesome project Crumm. A friend of mine is currently in the process of building a 1932 Ford coupe into a street rod with a big block Ford FE motor. Alot of people have given him flack about cutting up the car and making it a hot rod because it is an original steel body. His response to them...

    water pump 7.3

Might be a good idea to get a new thermostat housing right away. Never seen one removed and reinstalled that didn't leak. They are only thin stamped steel and are usually distorted when you remove them.

    Ford Additive for 6.4 liter

I have also used the Ford additive in my 7.3. I use it mostly as a cetane booster. Most engines do have a minimum cetane requirement of 40, with 50 being prefered. And that covers almost any diesel engine I have ever worked on. I'd say almost any fuel out of the pump should have a cetane...

    CCV Mod

My CCV hose outlet only has a slight amount of oil on it. Shouldn't leave a puddle unless you let the truck sit and run for a long period of time in one spot.

    Question High Idle Question

I seen a post where it said to connect the wire that Ford uses to idle up the engine in PTO applications. Here is the link I found. High Idle Mod Sounds easy enough and I'm pretty sure the wires are there. I remember seeing some last time I was under the dash. I know there are some...

    EBPV not working.

I unscrewed both ends of the tube and the line almost fell out on it's own. Valve is closing now when the truck is first started and idles cold. I haven't noticed the valve closing while driving like it did before. My thought was maybe it's due to the larger volume of air flow due to...

looking at lifts- Please post pics and info!

We installed a lift on this truck this summer. Truck is a 2002 F-250. The lift is a 6 1/2" Pro Comp all spring lift. The ladder bars are an option, but I strongly suggest them. We don't intend to off-road the truck, so we only installed the single shocks. Kit went on really well. Ride...

coolant filter vs. warm up time?

Closed the filter shut-off valves this morning before starting the truck. Left the truck run a few minutes before leaving as usual. Temp. gauge reached normal operating temp. noticably sooner than it did with the valves open. The filter set-up I have is from Dieselsite. I'm not complaining...

    Coolant filter update

Just changed the first filter out on my coolant filter. Cut the filter open and was surprised at how much junk was inside. I was surprised at how much there was because I installed the filter when I did the coolant drain and flush. Glad to see the filter paying for itself right off the bat.

coolant filter vs. warm up time?

Installed the coolant filter from dieselsite this summer. Now that the weather has turned colder, I noticed the truck doesn't warm up quite as quick as it did before. I already checked the thermostat and got my EBPV working again, but it still seems a little slow to warm up. Got to thinking...
