    Under sized pistons

WOW....1/6"= 0.167"......two words come to mind...piston slap! That thing would have been a loub SOB with 3 pistons that small. I don't see how that would be common, I would try to get an oil sample to Blackstone to see whats in the oil. I would think it would have ALOT of soot and...

Wasted Wastegate? Low boost diagnosed. NOW WHAT?

You can get a scan tool that reads PIDs and see what the MAP sensor is reading, remember it reads atmospheric pressure too so you'd have to subtract that from reading. If it coincides with your boost gauge then I would think the MAP sensor is fine. If your WG is set to open at 20ish psi...

    Volant Intake

It's C.A.R.B. approved, some inspection stations here require a box around the filter like they came from the factory. This allows it to be 50 state legal and still bring in sufficient cold air.

    Volant Intake

Well I got my intake from TxAtty on Monday and got it installed today. I've only seen a few people with a Volant intake in their sig during the couple of years of me being an internet diesel mechanic. The CAI is basically a AFE stage 1 or Airaid intake but with a whole new air box all the...

    ICP

CSI, had a long day today? The blue arrow in above pic is the EBP sensor like Tailgunner posted. The ICP sensor is in the driver's side cylinder head in the front most port in the oil rail. The red wires outside of the wire loom were my DIY 18k mod.

Wasted Wastegate? Low boost diagnosed. NOW WHAT?

WG is working fine. The solenoid allows 5lbs(I checked with my gauge) of boost through the redline to the actuator to open the WG slightyly and help relieve back pressure. Tightening the rod adds more preload which allows higher boost capabilities. With the econo tune people see 25psi easily...

Addendum to Fuel Supply Modifications Wiki

The Hutch mods are for the Super Duty's. I modified the introduction to reflect that. The OBS trucks don't have the mixing valve like you found out. In order to edit the WIKI you have to have "keys" to it since our first one got hacked. If you would like to do a write up for modifying...

truck cranks but wotn start... Cam sensor????.. or what else??

Before you do that, drain filter bowl and cycle the key a couple times. Then check to see if it's full again. You can also disconnect the quick connect(special tool required) fitting on the pressure side of the pump, connect a hose to it down into a bucket and see how much fuel it pumps in a...
